Relationships.

 Whatever relationship you have with whoever it is you have it with, make sure you have a foothold in it. You can't be the one more invested in it, you can't be the one who cares more, you can't be the one who takes the worse fall. Not that I want you to become manipulative and execute these tactics on others, but that I just want you to know that any relationship, at all points of it, must be mutually respectful. The moment you become the one who has more to compromise and sacrifice, you start getting hurt and eventually. abused. I am certain you do not want that. Or do you? I know many who believe or are made to believe that whatever they get from the other person in the relationship is what they deserve, irrespective of how little it is that they are getting. Believe me when I say your worth is much more than being on the receiving end of belittlement and abuse. Just think about it.
