It is impossible to have a logical argument with someone who just wouldn't listen to a word of what you have to say. It is necessary, I believe, to be able to separate facts from emotions, actualities from perceptions and it is crucial to segregate truths from stories.

Our opinions are absolutely irrelevant when it comes to a debate. We don't get to decide what is right based on our own sense of righteousness. We don't get to decide what others should do, we don't get to decide how everyone should behave or act. And that is of paramount importance. I say this because because it is absolutely necessary for people to understand that we're all entitled to our opinions, we're all entitled to our choices and we're all entitled to our actions, for as long as we're not doing anything against the law of the country. And you and I do not have the right to take that away from anyone whomsoever. Just reinforcing.
