Perspective.
Some things put life in perspective for me all the time. Like the fact that I read today in news that the beautiful white Rhinos of the world are almost extinct because of human beings. They survived 50 million years of volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes and meteor strikes. They could not survive human greed, human stupidity and human inhumanity. It breaks my heart to read such articles and it simply begs the question: who do human beings think they are? This question includes me as well. Who are we? Who do we think we are? How do we even come up with excuses and reasons for doing the things we do? Clearly this isn't human, we're barely even beings, to be completely honest. Not only do animals deserve to live life as much as we do, we need them to live for our own sake too. We don't have to be angels with a heart of gold to be against all this cruelty, we only need to be sensible. There is nothing more important than the ecological balance of the planet. When that is perturbed, everything is risked. I can't stress enough how simple it is to understand that we need to leave the wildlife alone, if we're not helping them. Let them be and let us mind our business, at least for our own sakes.
Think about it.
Love, peace.
An Earthian.
