Can you give more?

You can't convince yourself that you can survive by lowering your standards. You just can't, especially when a part of you knows that you can do so much better than you are actually doing. You can lie to a lot of people, but you just can't ever lie to yourself.

When your heart seeks the stars and maybe even wants a peep at what's beyond them, you can't start convincing it that maybe touching the clouds is good enough. You might consider doing that because the clouds feel good but you will always want to know what the stars taste like. And the more you lie to yourself that the clouds are the absolute highest point to which you can get, the more likely it is that you'll lead a very unsatisfied and disheartened life because you just are not for it. A part of you will always feel empty and there is nothing that you can do to feel that void, absolutely nothing that you can do. Knowing that you're capable of so much more than you're giving yourself credit for is just plainly embarrassing. When you can and you're choosing not to, it speaks volumes about the person that you are. Think about it.
