Being Mindful.
I believe what a lot of us lack is the grit to keep up with our promises to ourselves. We like the idea of improving ourselves but because we don't see the finish lines, it's just intensely hard for us to keep up with our promises.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
Most of us have always been reward based workers, which means, if we don't find it useful to us at least in the most remote ways, we just aren't going to be moving out of our seats at all. We need to see a finish line and we need to know at all times that it is well within our reach. We are willing to do just enough to make it happen but anything more that would be more demanding for us. For the most part, the reward at the end is what keeps us going. But self improvement isn't a reward based activity. It's a way of life, and that is what we forget. We can't be silly and ask questions like, "if I do this, will I become a better person?", because we won't and it isn't that simple. Whilst it is not that simple, it is also not all that hard. We do constantly need to be on our toes though, we need to be aware of what is happening to us, around us and in everything that surrounds us. We need to be mindful, that's the word. Be mindful of our traits, mindful of our habits and mindful of who we are as people. It takes a lot of effort, but it definitely is worth it.
Love, peace.
